Relatively unknown Bristolian Crackazat has just dropped his first EP on Astro Dynamics. Apart from a few tracks that have appeared at random over the last few years and a mix for Sonic Router, this is his first release. It’s four tracks of boogie laden electronica reminiscent of the soundtracks of old school Sega games like Streets of Rage, but without being overtly chiptune-y.
Have a listen to the EP and tell me the title track doesn’t sound remarkably like Grandmaster Flash’s 1982 hit ‘The Message’.
