Fang Island’s self titled album, released back in 2010, is one of my favourite records of the last year or two. It’s the sort of thing you need to set aside time for and play from front to back non-stop to get the full effect. Energetic, almost cartoony tracks run into each other, creating one big writhing song that doesn’t let up until the last second. It’s just a really fun listen. It also has quite possibly the best artwork ever.

For those among you, like myself, who aren’t really into Halloween (I think it’s a much bigger deal over the Atlantic), I’d say this album would be great on Bonfire Night too*. Get it downloaded ready for Saturday.
