Only producers of the calibre of Will Bevan and Kieran Hebden could elicit such a powerful response to a new track. At the time of writing, the track has been online for a mere 9 hours, and has already managed to attract nearly 40000 listens, not to mention huge coverage across the online music community.
Nova definitely harks back to the pairs’ earliest collaborations, echoing the slow-burn house ruminations of Moth and Wolf Cub, which are two of my favourite tracks of all time.
At a guess, I’d say it will see release sometime soon on Hebden’s vinyl only Text label. We can only wait.
