Rosali, the recording project of Philadelphia‘s Rosali Middleman, recently announced a new album, titled No Medium, on the ever-impressive SPINSTER. The record, written during a two week stay in an isolated South Carolinian farmhouse, traverses the “dark territory of loss, death, sexuality, self-sabotage, and addiction” via raw folk rock ballads that display a triumphant vulnerability.
Lead single ‘Mouth’ is our first taste of the album and sets the scene nicely. It finds Middleman in flux, feeling an uncanny sense of freedom while watching the past recede in the rearview. “I imagine confidently walking away from the past,” she explains of the song, “toward a new approach to love and intimacy to achieve a closer relationship with myself.”
