Gaadge is the project of Pittsburgh-based Mitch DeLong. Together with Nick Boston on bass, as well as Barlow‘s Andy Yadeski (drums) and Ethan Oliva (guitar), he makes a distinctive blend of 90s alternative and contemporary lo-fi indie rock first showcased on a 2018 split with Barlow. The release drew on alternative heavyweights like Pavement and My Bloody Valentine to create wonderfully fuzzy, shoegaze-tinged rock songs.
Soon after, DeLong began work on a follow-up, which resulted in Yeah?, the debut Gaadge full-length, which releases later this month on Crafted Sounds. They have so far released two single to whet appetites, the elastic and jangly pop song ‘Twenty-Two’, and most recently ‘Do What Now?’ a thundering shoegaze number that sees the band throw themselves into fuzzed-out wall-of-sound dynamics.
