Faint Peter announces debut album, Redoubt

Faint Peter is the alias of Boston-born, Seattle-based folk musician Joseph De Natale. In the time-old tradition, De Natale uses finger-picked guitar and lyrical vocals to make deceptively simple folk songs, and has spent the past two years recording Redoubt, his debut Faint Peter album. Doing things the proper way, the album was recorded in various living rooms and basements around the city of Seattle, using a portable studio set up and help from some of the area’s luminaries (such as Philip Kobernik of Hey Marseilles). The result promises to build on a bedrock of guitar/vocals folk music and elevate it with layered harmonies and a cinematic ambience.

The first track to be released, ‘Waiting’, stays true to those words, sounding like the heartfelt, accessible folk of Donovan Woods meets the atmospheric, falsetto-led vibe of later releases by The Antlers.
