Francis Lung is the solo project of Tom McClung (former bassist with mysterious and now defunct Manchester outfit WU LYF). McClung has been working on a debut collection of songs for the last three years, the first of which (’Age Limits’) was released last summer.
‘A Selfish Man’ is the the project’s brand new single, a slick and refined guitar pop track which could be seen as a clinical refinement of the WU LYF sound.
B-side ‘Tsunami Blues (Cause of Me)’ is equally impressive, a hushed and sleepy lullaby which blooms into something altogether more dreamy in the final section.
