Having featured Jasper Patterson AKA Groundislava’s track, ‘Weekend in the Tropics’ on our Graduation Mixtape last month, it seemed rude not to also point out that his new EP, TV Dream has just been released.
Atmosphere-wise, TV Dream is 5 tracks of summer evening bliss. The hazy, drifting melodies could almost be heat waves made audible, and the spongy synth pads, close, warm, night air. Finale track ‘Reflecting’ is a personal highlight, which somehow manages to juggle just the right amount of menace and lethargy.
It’s just a shame that I will be living my summer vicariously through these tracks, as in the UK we’ve just had the wettest June since records began.
