Cities Aviv is Gavin Mays, a hip-hop artist with no real respect for genre boundaries. He released his debut full length, Digital Lows, in May. Pitchfork were pleasantly surprised by not only his personality and humour, but also the plethora of awesome, hitherto unheard of producers, praising the “imaginative but still traditional beats”. It’s a seriously well put together release and what makes it all the better is that it’s available in its entirety for free on his bandcamp page.
