It’s fair to say that Clint Mansell’s got himself a bit of a reputation. Soundtracks for Black Swan, Moon, The Wrestler, Pi and Requiem For A Dream will do that for you (Click on the links to listen to them in Spotify).
The Fountain sees Clint Mansell, once again working with Darren Aronofsky, collaborating with the Kronos Quartet and post-rock giants Mogwai. The overall effect is fairly spectacular and has earned him rave reviews. Nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and the BFCA Critic’s Choice Award for Best Composer, and taking home the Chicago Film Critics Associations’s 2006 award for Best Original Score,and the World Soundtrack Award for Best Original Soundtrack of the Year and Public Choice Award.
