Next month sees the release of Grails’ Deep Politics. Taking influences from sources as diverse as 70s film scores and hip hop, Deep Politics is definitely an album to look out for. If you aren’t already familiar with Grails’ wonderfully lethargic sound, which they helpfully describe as “Tibetan crime jazz”, then I recommend giving their rather extensive back catalogue a listen, especially 2008’s Take Refuge In Clean Living.
