Pat Jordache – Future Sounds

As much as I love Constellation Records and their fantastically left-field musical output, I have to admit that they have a more than slight tendency to pretentiousness, of which the promotional material for Pat Jordache’s upcoming album Future Sounds is a wonderful example:

Opacity also plays a role in Jordache’s production. Frequencies omitted from the audio spectrum literally demand an active participation on the part of the listener’s imagination. This process short-circuits the passive consumption endemic to advanced capitalism’s commodification of art. It also has the dual effect of empowering the listener, bringing them into a participatory mindstate.

While spouting utter shite, Constellation nonetheless have a brilliant ear for the eclectic, and by the sounds of the above track Pat Jordache is no exception. Future Sounds is released on April 26th, and will be available from Constellation Records, who will send you a nice hand written letter of thanks if you happen to buy a physical copy.

If by any chance you aren’t familiar with Constellation, I would highly recommend checking them out on Soundcloud.
