Bit of a departure from the norm with this post, but I’ve been listening to a lot of movie soundtracks of late and can’t resist sharing this incredible piece of music. Johan Söderqvist is the man behind the haunting soundtrack for the 2008 Swedish film Låt den rätte komma in (Let the Right One In). He was briefed to create a score which was ‘hopeful and romantic’ to contrast with the bleak events of the film which he achieves to a degree of sublimity and viscerality rarely seen (or heard) in contemporary cinema.
