Hanging Valleys is a new band from London, led by English-Mexican singer-songwriter Thom Byles, who’s solo work we have featured several times here at WTD. Byles provides guitar and his distinctive falsetto vocals, and is joined by Mike Phillips, who adds electric guitar and secondary vocals, and Alexis Meridol, who’s in charge of beats and samples. The band have recently released a single, ‘Endless Wave’, which sees them build upon the gentle folk pop elements of Byles’s solo work, creating a song that’s lush and emotional in the vein of Bon Iver’s later work or James Vincent McMorrow.
