Handsome Furs are back with their third album, Sound Kapital. For those unfamilar with the duo, they consist of Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner and his wife Alexei Perry.
The new album follows on from Face Control, continuing the band’s interest in Russian music and culture. The album is written entirely on keyboards (apparently) and is inspired by Russian electronic and industrial music from the 1980s.
They set off on a tour soon, starting in the US and stopping off in various places in Eastern Europe (even Albania and Bosnia!) before reaching the UK in May:
