The Japanese War Effort is in fact James Scott from the music goldmine that is Scotland. he is one of those people often missed due to his kindness, releasing the large majority of his work for free and as a consequence receiving little recognition.
My favourite EP of his, ‘Surrender To Summer’ is a hazy slice of ambient pop finished off with Scott’s distinctively Scottish voice.
