The Head and The Heart are from Seattle, Washington. They make lovely, folky music that makes me wish I lived in a wood somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. The video above was filmed by Dylan Priest when the band were on the road to a gig in Vancouver, BC. One of the things that I love about these is that they seem genuinely happy to be making music and try to do so wherever and whenever.
Their debut album has been one of my favourites this year. It’s available on iTunes but unfortunately it hasn’t been physically released in the UK yet. I’m pretty certain they have just signed to Sub Pop so I guess a wider release will be coming soon.
